I remember seeing this design by MagnaGallina on Twitter showing all of the different types of character design that succeed on different platforms. Of course the main design was pretty cool, but to be successful on Twitter it has to be a sexy woman, that’s just how Twitter works.
This was also one of the first times I really used Blender’s sculpting tools to help create my models. Normally I box model everything but with this one I made a fairly basic base mesh and sculpted for a couple of hours until I got to the rough shape of the design, then I did the retopology. At the time this was the first more risqué character compared to all of the cute ones I had done before, but now I make a lot of female characters, as that’s what appeases the algorithm and they’re fun to do.
